About NLP and learning

NLP is about mental training and making changes

It uses the knowledge of how our brain works, and how our mind and body interact with each other. NLP provides training in how you yourself can use these qualities to influence the changes you want in your life, in areas such as lifestyle, exercise and diet.

It opens up the possibility of consciously being able to influence your condition, as well as other areas that can limit your life development. To MAKE a difference, you must DO something different! Start with yourself; through the way you think, speak and move, your perspectives and your body language.

It is up to you to change. With a focus on hope, motivation and inspiration, the excess of lightness, humor and joy can be amplified. You may have more influence in your life than you ever imagined. When you do active change work in one area, even the smallest change can create positive ripple effects of change in other areas, all by itself.

About NLP:

NLP is CHANGE WORK. It is about how our brain works, how it and the body communicate with each other, and how we ourselves can influence this communication. We are always in some state of mind. Which depends on what we think about, concentrate on, talk about, pay attention to, focus on, how we think about things and our view of the world. In addition, everything we communicate via body language, posture and movement pattern.

Likewise, our expectations of what may happen, what memories we bring up, what we believe is the truth about things, our belief systems and our attitudes will affect the mode or mood we create. We thus automatically put ourselves in different states of mind, often completely unconscious and unintentional. So maybe it's not how much you do, or what you do that matters most, but what state of mind you do it in?

"The power of words"

Have you noticed how much faster you can get tired or ill during periods of worry or stress?

The brain and body responds to the different states of mind based on the messages they receive. For example, pain, worries and anxiety signals that there is some kind of danger. And in the same way as if you were standing in front of a bear, both body and mind will then react by preparing for flight or battle until the situation is resolved. In our modern society, such "stress states" are due to completely different challenges than predators, but the body still reacts in the same way. Today's threats are more about uncertainty about one's own health, finances, job or family situation, and these can last for a long time. Both body and mind remain in a state of alertness, with activation of muscles and joints. This effort can drain power from other areas such as the immune system, the digestive system, sleep capacity and from our entire general life energy. The body never dares to relax completely, and thus does not fully recover. Mental states such as worry or brooding are thus not suitable for recovery or recovery, which paradoxically is exactly what we really want to achieve. Fortunately, it is possible to learn how to influence this yourself, and this is what I teach.

We are not always in the optimal state of mind for the task at hand. Stress or low self-esteem can appear in the least desired situations, although in other contexts we may have more than enough self-confidence. It can be before a job interview, meeting with the boss, exams, in close relationships and family. Or in any context where we feel we are not doing our best, where it may be about more general moods such as dissatisfaction, sadness, frustration or irritation.

In order for the brain to be able to tell the body to move from readiness to recovery, we must consciously make some changes to disconnect the tension in the system. The focus must be shifted from what we want to get away from, to what we want. Because while thinking about, or talking about, for example, problems or pain can activate the areas of the brain that perceive danger and put the body in this stress mode, shifting the focus to the OPPOSITE could trigger hormones that warn that the threat is over. The central nervous system can then switch to recovery mode again, and the same energy is released to activate the body's own self-healing powers.

So if we are unhappy about the current state of affairs, we can facilitate change by first becoming aware of these patterns of habit, and then train ourselves to change them for the better. We can consciously choose to change ourselves towards the states of mind that puts us in the best possible position to achieve what we really want.

"Maybe it's not how much, or what
you do that matters most - but what
MOOD you're in when doing it"

What NLP Means:

Since the brain is plastic, ie changeable, thinking in new paths will literally form new neurological paths between the brain and the body. This is called in NLP for Programming, while N stands for Neurological and L stands for Linguistic. Together, this becomes; how to program the brain and central nervous system to function and communicate as efficient as possible, via the language and words you use. It applies on 3 levels, consisting of subconscious, consciousness and body language:

1.  Internal dialogue. (What we say to ourselves. Thoughts. Memories.

      Future perspective and expectations.)

2.  External dialogue. (How we communicate. Language. Choice of words.)

3.  Body language. (Position. Posture. Movement pattern. Mimicry.

Since the brain is plastic, it can form new traces of nerve pathways as soon as it learns some new instructions that are more appropriate than the previous ones. The old can then at the same time have the opportunity to grow back by themselves, as old paths in the forest do when they are no longer used. The brain can learn quickly, constantly producing new cells, regardless of age. It just needs to be given another assignment. We are all always thinking about something. What you CAN influence is WHAT you think about. With mental training and conscious repetition, the new train of thought becomes as automatic and normal as the ones we had before. During practice, the new reaction patterns are stored in the subconscious, as neurological shortcuts to the goal we want. In such a state of mind, there is little to stop you from creating what you want.

NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) is an extremely effective way of making lasting and rapid change in your life. The goal is how to make changes as simple as possible, focusing on HOW the PRESENT & the FUTURE can be different rather than spending time asking WHY we have issues and dragging up the PAST, and makes it possible to make changes in an intriguing and often fun process.

* Neuro  -  the way our brains and minds work

* Linguistic  - the way language affects our brains and minds.

* Programming  -  how our brain often seems to be working,

sometimes against us, in very automated ways

Training:

Teaching NLP involves, among other things, helping people to create the changes they want in their lives by teaching them techniques that enable them to change their way of thinking and belief systems, and thus put themselves in the best possible state of mind. And thus becoming able to achieve their desired results. To show people how to get more clarity in what they really want, what they are already good at, and what they need to further develop or do as the next step if they are stuck. It is about teaching others how they themselves through awareness can discover and use the resources and abilities they have, to move forward towards the goals and dreams. Together, we map the strengths, potentials, development needs and motivational factors, and practice how to apply these in an appropriate way.

By learning tools for how they can consciously use the mind and brain, they gain greater influence to change internal factors such as stress levels and self-esteem, which can provide more action in the external world. By having a larger comfort zone and a different perspective, one can discover opportunities and solutions that were previously outside the scope of their horizon. And get closer to the life they want to live.

"Become able to make conscious decisions

as to what state of mind you are in"

The subconscious often goes on autopilot around old, outdated reaction patterns, and if we get hung up on thoughts that originate in outdated and erroneous notions about ourselves and the world, it can be difficult to find more objective and realistic solutions. A pattern is the process you subconsciously go through when you react to a situation, and which in turn results in how you approach all kinds of different life situations. For example, things like straining your body and overloading you in different situations, or how you relate to others in your close relationships, will depend on what experiences, expectations and information your brain connects to. This in turn will result in how you experience and interpret the situation before you respond to it both practically and emotionally.

Training can be used to better succeed in job and career development as well as in health, sports and business. NLP combines mental training with new linguistics. Knowledge put together in new ways gives a new and completely different result; "To get a CHANGE, you have to do something different!" The method is based on the fact that we all have the resources needed to achieve our goals, and to help us connect to the right resources suitable for the various situations. We can train ourselves to see things in different ways. New thoughts open up new perspectives, which help us to formulate goals and become aware of any self-imposed limitations, gain greater clarity in what we want / need, and what we already know. The focus is on what we want and how we will achieve it, by designing realistic goals and sub-goals. The brain and the body constantly communicate with each other, and we can train ourselves to have a greater positive influence on this communication.

With various techniques such as awareness-raising and reality testing, we can turn things around and change for the better. New paths are literally formed in our neurology, and we further strengthen these by practicing greater correspondence between the inner dialogue (thoughts, and what we say to ourselves), the outer dialogue (language, word choice, and what we tell others), and our body language. How words are translated into action - theory becomes practice.

When you become aware of your patterns, you will have more freedom of choice, and you will be in a position to learn to do things differently. A way of being that is more in line with what you want to achieve, who you want to be, and deep down is; yourself.

"What if... you chose to be your best "you"

independent of what is going on around you?"

NLP Briefly Told:

"Instructions for use" for Brain and Body: Today, a thick and comprehensive instruction manual is usually included when you buy even the simplest things. The most important tools we have are actually the ones we were born with, but there is no instruction manual on life and how we can use the brain and body so that they "play on the same team". We can train to accomplish this.

1.  The brain is the boss! It is YOU who makes decisions about what to think of now, and what  updates you choose to focus on.

2.  The brain uses this information to control the body and itself. Much of this happens unconsciously. The brain does a lot automatically based on experience, partly without us being aware of it. It does not distinguish between positive or negative perception. It is what we pay attention to, think about or talk about that gives the brain an update. We can thus influence how the brain experiences things by the way we interpret things; as positive or negative.

3. Calm and optimistic thoughts make us all relax and recover after we have been in work mode, stress mode, or struggling with something.

Body and mind then need as much focus as possible on the good thoughts, feelings and reactions. It is possible to influence the brain to turn the negative paths into positive ones, by training it back to a better focus. This is what we use NLP for. To learn how we can calm down the head, so that the body gets more of the energy back and can get back on its feet more easily.
